Prince Harry & Meghan Markle call on the Commonwealth to right wrongs
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle participated in the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust video conference on 1 July (Wednesday) with young leaders and addressed the importance of justice and equal rights. The couple spoke openly about anti-Black racism and called on the Commonwealth to acknowledge its past to right wrongs.
“Certainly when you look across the Commonwealth, there is no way that we can move forward unless we acknowledge the past,” says Harry. “So many people have done such an incredible job of acknowledging the past and trying to right those wrongs, but I think we all acknowledge there is so much more still to do.”
“I think that’s what was very much manifested in what you are feeling from people’s outpouring surrounding the murder of George Floyd,” adds Meghan to comment on the death of George Floyd and the growth of the Black Lives Matter movement.
The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust organizes weekly conferences with young people to discuss a number of topics, including various forms of injustice.
Harry and Meghan currently serve as President and Vice-President of the trust respectively.

Demi Lovato reflects on her partnership with Scooter Braun
Demi Lovato is featured in the newest issue of Bustle. As part of her coverage, the singer reflected on her current partnership with Scooter Braun. As it turns out, the manager did not want to sign Demi nor work with her at the very beginning.
Scooter Braun set to meet with Demi to give her a respectful and polite decline regarding their possible partnership.
“I was nervous because I wanted him to manage me so bad, and I was terrified of rejection,” admits Demi. “Also, having gone through such a public overdose, I didn’t know if anyone would want to manage me after that.”
“What I saw is that she needed someone who didn't need her. And about halfway through the meeting, my partner Allison Kaye and I both looked at each other and instinctually kind of laughed. And then Allison texted me and goes, ‘You're thinking the same thing I am.’ I knew I could help her. I knew Allison could help her. I knew that we were in a position, in our lives and our careers, that if Demi needed to take three years off, she can do that. And if Demi needs us to go and have an honest conversation and get her out of something, it doesn't affect my reputation,” adds Scooter.
Under the wings of Scooter Braun and his management company, Demi Lovato returned to music stronger than ever. She released successful singles (“Anyone” and “I Love Me”) and is working on her seventh studio album.
