Nick Cordero passes away at 41
On Sunday (5 July), Broadway star Nick Cordero passed away at the age of 41 following the complications from coronavirus. The actor contracted the virus back in March and spent months in intensive care. He suffered sepsis infections while in hospital and mini-strokes, which led to the amputation to his right leg.
The heart-breaking news was shared by Nick’s wife, Amanda Kloots, on Instagram.
“God has another angel in heaven now. My darling husband passed away this morning. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth,” posts Amanda. “I am in disbelief and hurting everywhere. My heart is broken as I cannot imagine our lives without him. Nick was such a bright light. He was everyone’s friend, loved to listen, help and especially talk. He was an incredible actor and musician. He loved his family and loved being a father and husband. Elvis and I will miss him in everything we do, everyday.”
Numerous celebrities took to their social media to pay condolences to Nick’s surviving family.
“I'm so shocked to see the news today that Nick has passed. My heart and soul goes out to Nick Cordero's beautiful wife and family. Rest In Peace, Nick,” tweets Priscilla Presley.
“I can honesty tell you I have never met a kinder human being. Don't believe that Covid only claims the elderly and infirm,” posts Zach Braff.
Nick Cordero was a Canadian Broadway actor. He was nominated for the prestigious Tony Award in 2014 for the role of Cheech in the musical “Bullets Over Broadway.” He also appeared in television and movies – “A Stand Up Guy,” “Going in Style,” “Inside Game,” “Mob Town” and “Lilyhammer.”

Katy Keene gets cancelled after one season
“Katy Keene” was officially cancelled by the CW after just one season. Thus, the “Riverdale” spin-off featuring Lucy Hale will not be renewed for the second season. The reason for the cancellation lies behind the show’s poor ratings.
The first season was comprised of 13 episodes. It starred Lucy Hale (as Katy Keene), Ashleigh Murray (as Josie McCoy), Katherine LaNasa as (Gloria Grandbilt), Julia Chan as (Pepper Smith) and Jonny Beauchamp as (Ginger Lopez). It followed the characters chasing their dreams in New York City.
Lucy Hale took to her official Instagram to share the sad news with the fans. While making the announcement, the 31-year-old actress broke down in tears.
“It’s happened a few times to me and each time it’s just like…just heartbreaking. I mean, it’s a job that has broken my heart numerous times,” says Lucy.
However, the cancellation of the show may not be final as the rumour had it that Netflix considers purchasing the rights to the show and renewing it for the second season.

How did DaBaby rise to fame?
DaBaby has been topping the Billboard Hot 100 with “Rockstar” now, but have you ever wondered how he rose to such prominence?

He got his big break after one show in North Carolina. He signed a deal with the South Cost Music Group. DaBaby started gaining recognition. However, big prominence came in 2019 with his recording deal with the Interscope Records.
His debut album “Baby on Baby” was released on 1 March 2019 and peaked at no. 7 at the US Billboard 200. It was followed by two more albums – “Kirk” (2019) and “Blame It on Baby” (2020). Both of them turned out to be huge commercial successes as they topped the US album charts!
